£9 win
@ 2/1 Winner = £27 3rd winner
All you have staked
is the original £1. After 3 selections your bet is refered to as an accumulator. With as many
selections as you require with all monies, going on from each winner on
to the next and so on.
Most bets are made
up from these basic bets but are given different names. Here is a list of
some popular ones.
|
Patent = 7 Bets 3 Selections
A patent consists of 7 bets from 3 selections in different events. Each
one is a single bet, plus Doubles on each pair, plus Treble all 3.
|
|
Yankee = 11 Bets 4 Selections
This bet has no singles but consists of 6 Doubles, 4 Trebles & 1
ACC.
|
|
S Yankee= 26 Bets 5 Selections
Again, no Singles but with 10 Doubles, 10 Trebles, 5 Four Fold ACCs
& 1 Five Fold ACC.
|
|
Heinz = 57 Bets 6 Selections
No Singles, 15 Doubles, 20 Trebles, 15 Four Fold Accs, 6 Five Fold Accs
& 1 Six Fold Acc.
|
|
As you can see all the above are calculated mathematically from the
number of selections chosen. Therfore, if 8 selections are chosen it
would be 247 Bets. IE. 28 Doubles, 56 Trebles, 70 Four Folds, 56 Five
Folds, 28 Six Folds, 8 Sevens & 1 Eight Fold ACC.
To calculate how
many bets in an amount of selections here is a formula to help :-
|
Doubles
in 9 Selections = 9 x 8 / 1 x 2 = 72 / 2 = 36
Trebles in 9
Selections = 9
x 8 x 7 / 1 x 2 x 3 = 504 / 6 = 84
Four Fold in 9
Selections = 9
x 8 x 7 x 6 / 1 x 2 x 3 x 4 = 3024 / 24 = 126
Formula = No's down from number
of selections (Eg 9) by the number to be found - Doubles 2, Treble 3
over 1 up to the number to be found.
IE. 5 Folds in 9 = 9 x 8 x 7 x 6 x 5 / 1 x 2 x 3 x 4 x 5 = 15120 / 120 = 126
This applies in
any number of selections you choose.
